Spot Bitcoin ETFs See Strongest Inflows in Two Months
Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded robust demand this week, attracting over $1.7 billion in net inflows before the trading session closes on Friday. According to SoSoValue data, Wednesday alone saw nearly $800 million in new investments, pushing total inflows for the week to their highest level in almost two months. The increased institutional activity coincides with Bitcoins rebound to the $115,000 range, reflecting renewed investor confidence.
Institutional Interest Rises as Crypto Market Recovers
Spot Ether ETFs also experienced increased inflows, posting more than $230 million in net gains as of Thursday. This marks a notable turnaround following last weeks $800 million in sector outflows. The positive trend is further supported by corporate treasury activity. This week, BitMine, a prominent Ether holder, surpassed the 2 million ETH milestone through successive purchases, including acquisitions from custodian BitGo. As of writing, BitMines holdings equate to $9.3 billion in Ether.
- ETF issuers now collectively hold 6.6 million ETH, totaling close to $30 billion.
- ETH reserve companies holdings approach 5 million ETH, or $22.1 billion.
- Nearly 10% of Ethereums circulating supply, or close to 12 million ETH, is now held by institutions, according to the Strategic ETH Reserve tracker.
Crypto Market Cap Again Surpasses $4 Trillion
Alongside ETF inflows, the total value of the crypto market approached $4.1 trillion this week, a level not reached since early summer. Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao highlighted the milestone on social platform X, noting that the combined capitalization of all cryptocurrencies is still below tech giant Nvidias $4.3 trillion market cap. Zhaos comments reflect ongoing comparisons between the crypto sector and traditional industries as the digital asset space expands.
