Benchmark Raises Price Target for CompoSecure Amid Arculus Product Update

Benchmark has reiterated its "buy" rating for CompoSecure (NYSE: CMPO) and raised its price target to $24, representing a potential 16% increase from current levels. The move follows key product developments within the company's Arculus cold wallet business.

Arculus Expands Beyond Storage

According to a Wednesday note by Benchmark senior equity research analyst Mark Palmer, Arculus is transforming from a security-focused product into a trading platform. The recent integration with N.exchange, along with the launch of a smart order router, enables users to trade cryptocurrencies directly from cold storage. This new feature aims to provide competitive execution prices without requiring assets to leave secure custody.

Market Position and Operational Growth

Palmer highlighted that the update positions Arculus at the crossroads of self-custody and liquidity access. This evolution is seen as a potential differentiator for Arculus in a crowded digital asset wallet sector. The analyst also noted ongoing operational improvements and margin expansion at CompoSecure, attributing these advancements to majority owner Resolute Holdings.

Benchmarks revised outlook cites stronger forecasted revenue and profit, with the new trading function expected to open an additional revenue stream for the company. The firm points to rising profit margins and further growth potential following the latest platform enhancements.

CompoSecures Broader Activities

CompoSecure is recognized for its metal payment card manufacturing and the development of the Arculus hardware wallet. Earlier in the year, the company partnered with Baanx to launch the MetaMask Metal Card. This product allows users to complete tap-to-pay transactions directly from self-custody wallets, bypassing fiat conversions and centralized exchanges.

Shares of CompoSecure closed at $20.49, marking a 62% gain year to date and significantly outperforming the broader S&P 500 index.
